About John

John Harris is an Emeritus Professor of Vascular Surgery in the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney, affiliated with the Discipline of Surgery and the Central Clinical School. He earned his MB and MS degrees from the University of Sydney, along with FRCS from the University of London, FRACS, FACS, and a Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound (Vascular) from the Australian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine. Harris has had a distinguished career in vascular surgery, serving as Chairman of the Division of Surgery at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and holding his professorial appointment since at least 1998. His clinical and academic work has centered on advancing vascular care, education, and research at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the University of Sydney.
