Justin Fernandez is a Professor in the Department of Engineering Science and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Auckland. He is also affiliated with the Auckland Bioengineering Institute. He graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours first class) in Engineering Science in 1999 and a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Auckland.
His research focuses on bioengineering with specializations in assessing wearable technology to monitor sports biomechanics and foot and footwear biomechanics. He has contributed to the academic field through research outputs and supervision of students at Masters and PhD levels.
