Dr. Kent Yuen serves as Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Sydney Dental School within the Faculty of Medicine and Health. His academic appointment is associated with Restorative and Reconstructive Dentistry. He holds the qualifications BDS, MSc, Grad Dip Clin Dent, FADI, FPFA, and FRACDS. Kent Yuen is the course lead and director for the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Oral Implants), a program aimed at developing advanced skills in oral rehabilitation including implant treatment for dental graduates. In this capacity, he coordinates the curriculum, which includes intensive blocks focused on surgical and restorative aspects of implant dentistry.

Kent Yuen obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Oral Implants) from the University of Sydney. He further pursued a Master of Science in Oral Implants. As a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) by examination, Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International (FADI), and Fellow Pierre Fauchard Academy (FPFA), he has demonstrated excellence in the field. He previously served as past president of the Australasian Osseointegration Society and has chaired the planning committee for the Graduate Diploma program since 2002. His teaching extends to both undergraduate and postgraduate students in oral rehabilitation and implantology. Kent Yuen maintains a clinical practice specializing in dental implants, where he applies expertise in simplifying implant procedures, expanding placement techniques, and prosthetic restoration with minimal bone grafting needs. His contributions to dental education include lecturing nationally and internationally on implant dentistry topics. Through his roles at the University of Sydney, he has influenced the training of numerous dentists in advanced clinical dentistry practices.
