Kleber Sebastián Quizhpi Salamea is an engineering educator and researcher at Universidad Nacional de Loja, serving in the Carrera de Ingeniería Automotriz within the Facultad de la Energía, las Industrias y los Recursos Naturales no Renovables. He earned his degree as Ingeniero Mecánico Automotriz from the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana and subsequently obtained a Máster Universitario en Física Teórica. Currently, he is an Investigador in the Grupo de Investigación EXMOVET, which specializes in advancements in electric mobility and sustainable transportation technologies. His involvement in key projects includes the ongoing initiative "Evaluación de la demanda energética de buses en rutas urbanas en la ciudad de Loja con propósitos de electromovilidad," spanning 2023 to 2025, aimed at assessing energy requirements for urban buses to promote electromobility.
In his academic role, Quizhpi Salamea advises undergraduate theses on critical engineering topics, such as the "Análisis estático y dinámico de propuesta de diseño estructural para carrocería de buses eléctricos urbanos." He contributes to scholarly literature through publications in Ciencia Latina Revista Científica Multidisciplinar. Notable works include "La Plataforma Electude en el aprendizaje práctico de los estudiantes de la Carrera de Ingeniería Automotriz de la UNL" (2024), co-authored with Elmer Israel Arias Montaño, Tatiana Betzabé León Alberca, and Edgar Oswaldo Villavicencio Canelos, which demonstrates the platform's effectiveness in fostering practical skills via mixed-method research involving student surveys and teacher interviews. Another significant paper is "Comportamiento de las Detonaciones en un Motor de Encendido Provocado al usar Mezclas de Gasolina – Etanol (MEG), mediante la Aplicación de Diseño de Experimentos (DoE)" (2024), detailing experimental analysis showing detonation levels proportional to ethanol percentage and inversely to engine RPM. Additionally, he presented "Methodology for Smoothing the Altitude Profile of Urban Bus Routes for Electric Mobility Applications" at the XI International Conference, highlighting his expertise in optimizing routes for electric vehicles.
