Ho Kok Hoe is a Senior Lecturer (Practice) in the School of Engineering, Electrical and Robotics Engineering department at Monash University Malaysia. He earned his PhD in Engineering, specializing in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, and Manufacturing from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman in 2021, with a thesis on the development and validation of a production planning model for throughput shortage recovery through process parameter adjustment in manufacturing systems. He also holds a Master of Science in Engineering from Open University Malaysia in 2012 and a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Mechatronics) from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia in 2002. Ho brings over 17 years of industrial experience in process engineering for polymer and semiconductor assembly at Polymatech (M) Sdn Bhd (2002-2006) and Carsem (M) Sdn Bhd (2006-2019), managing processes such as injection moulding, sawing, die-attach, wire bonding, and MEMS operations. His academic career includes roles as Part-Time Tutor at Wawasan Open University (2013-2019), Head of School/Program Leader/Lecturer at SEGi College Penang (2019-2021), accumulating more than six years in education with involvement in program leadership and compliance audits.
Ho's research interests include industrial engineering, operations research, manufacturing/production, Industry 4.0, automation and robotics, modelling and simulation, statistics, mathematics, and improving teaching pedagogy. He serves as Primary Chief Investigator on projects like 'Advancing Optimization Mathematical Modelling and Predictive Maintenance Planning Through Data Analytics using IoT Manufacturing System' (2025-2027) and 'Integrated Industry 4.0 Solution for PCB Assembly: Cobot-Assisted Pick and Place with IoT-Enabled Quality and Operational Analytics' (2024-2026).
