Rate My Professor Kurt LaShure

Kurt LaShure serves as the College Budget Administrative Associate in the Dean's Office of the Wonsook Kim College of Fine Arts at Illinois State University. A proud alumnus of the university, he earned his Bachelor's degree and Master of Professional Accountancy (M.P.A.) in May 2018. In his current role, he manages budgetary responsibilities supporting the college's operations and programs in the fine arts.

LaShure's career at Illinois State University spans several administrative positions focused on finance and budgeting. He previously worked as Account Technician II in the Comptroller's Office, receiving a Tip of the Hat award for outstanding service in May-June 2018. He advanced to Accountant I in the same office, earning another Tip of the Hat in January 2022. By October 2023, as Business Administrative Associate for the Dean of Fine Arts, he was recognized once more with a Tip of the Hat. Beyond his primary duties, LaShure contributes to university governance as Treasurer of the Civil Service Council, with a term from 2025 to June 30, 2026, and participated in welcoming new members in July 2025. He also serves as Treasurer of the Queer Coalition, is a member of the RISE governance committee, and is acknowledged as Budget Associate in the 2025 Illinois Shakespeare Festival program.
