Liaoliao Li is an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. She earned her B.A. from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in China, an M.P.P. from Pepperdine University, and a Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. In her teaching role, Li offers economics courses and First-Year Seminar sections within the Department of Business Administration. Her research interests encompass international economics and monetary economics, with a focus on empirical studies related to China's economic landscape and global financial dynamics.
Li has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications. Notable works include 'Partial Privatisation and Firm Performance: Evidence from China’s State-Owned Enterprises,' published in the International Journal of Internet and Enterprise Management in 2013, co-authored with Zongming Tang, Xiaofei Tang, Lizhi Zhang, and Xiangjian Zhang; 'Is There Two-Way Asynchronous Information Transmission Between Stock Markets and Stock Message Boards?,' appearing in the International Journal of Information Technology & Decision Making in 2012, with Dayong Dong and Zongming Tang; 'The Demand for Money in China: Evidence from Half a Century,' in the International Journal of Business and Social Science in 2014; 'An Exploratory Study of Interlocking Directorates in China and Cross Country Comparisons,' in the Journal of Business & Economic Policy in 2017, with Zongming Tang; and 'The Rise of Interlocking Directorates in China: Trends and Implications for Marketization,' in the Research in Business and Economics Journal, with Zongming Tang. She has also contributed to 'The Impact of the Chinese Stimulus Program on Earnings Management,' published in the International Journal of Accounting & Information Management in 2019, with Qian Hao. Li serves on multiple university committees, including as At-Large Faculty Member Representative on the Commission on Human Diversity (term ending August 2027) and the Campus Beautification & Preservation Committee (term ending August 2027), as well as membership on the KU Assessment Committees.
