About Lisa

Lisa Simmons serves as Clinical Associate Professor Cardiologist in the Central Clinical School within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. A general cardiologist practicing at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, she holds the position of Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with Honours from the University of Sydney. Her qualifications include Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), a PhD investigating the cardiovascular adaptation to pregnancy at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the University of Sydney, and the Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound (DDU) in echocardiography. Simmons was trained in cardiology at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne and serves as an examiner for the DDU in echocardiography.
