Mark Tramo serves as Associate Adjunct Professor in the Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology at the University of California, Los Angeles. He earned a B.A. from Yale College in 1978, an M.D. in Neurology from Cornell University Medical College in 1982, and a Ph.D. in Neurobiology from Harvard University in 1998. His academic career includes prior appointments at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.
Tramo directs the Institute for Music and Brain Science and maintains research interests in the neuroscience of music. He received the 2024 Life Sciences Excellence Award from UCLA.
