Matt Raskovic is Professor of International Business and Strategy at Auckland University of Technology (AUT), in the Department of Marketing and International Business within the AUT Business School. Matevž, known as Matt in New Zealand, holds a PhD from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. He joined AUT in March 2022 as Associate Professor of International Business and Strategy, advancing to Full Professor. Previously, from February 2018 to February 2022, he was Senior Lecturer at Victoria University of Wellington's School of Marketing and International Business, where he directed the Executive MBA programme and earned the University-wide Teaching Excellence Award in 2019 with a NZD 10,000 support grant.
Raskovic's research specializations encompass economic sociology of international business, social identity theory in IB contexts, populism as an institution, corruption in Central and Eastern Europe, and diversity, equity, and inclusion in international business research and education. His scholarly impact is evidenced by over 1,300 citations on Google Scholar. Key publications include "Living with Corruption in Central and Eastern Europe: Social Identity and the Role of Moral Disengagement" (with K.T.
