Rate My Professor Mazin Magzoub

Mazin Magzoub is Associate Professor of Biology at New York University Abu Dhabi. He received his PhD in biophysics from Stockholm University in 2004. Prior to joining NYU Abu Dhabi, he was a postdoctoral scholar at the University of California, San Francisco, where he developed novel biophysical methods for measuring macromolecule diffusion in tissues such as tumors and brain. He subsequently served as an Associate Research Scientist in Andrew Miranker’s laboratory at Yale University, focusing on the molecular mechanisms underlying type 2 diabetes.

Mazin Magzoub is a biophysicist specializing in the development of novel methods for the delivery of antitumor agents and therapeutics for amyloid diseases, including Alzheimer’s and prion diseases. His research interests encompass amyloid diseases, biophysics, cancer, drug delivery, and drug discovery. He serves as Principal Investigator of the Magzoub Lab: Biophysics at NYU Abu Dhabi.
