Md. Ershadul H. Choudhury serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Manarat International University. His academic credentials include a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, USA, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Professor Choudhury's research interests encompass Wireless Communication, 6G Communication, Renewable Energy, and Computer Networks. In his leadership role, he fosters a modern and excellent academic culture in the EEE department, committed to delivering the best education in electrical engineering. The department offers free IEEE memberships to newly admitted students, maintains laboratories open until 9 PM for extended access, and employs faculty from prestigious institutions such as BUET, MIST, KUET, CUET, and ASU. Students benefit from diligent teaching, open consultations with faculty, and opportunities to participate in monthly inter-university contests, especially in robotics and other competitions. The department supports vibrant clubs including the EEE Club, Space Club, Robotics Club, VLSI Club, and Innovation Club, equipped with specialized labs like VLSI, power electronics, and switchgear.
Professor Choudhury brings 24 years of teaching experience to his current position, having served 11 years at East West University where he founded the Computer Science Department, 2 years at American International University-Bangladesh, and 10 years at Primeasia University including as Head of the CSE Department. Earlier, he worked as an Assistant Engineer at the Institute of Electronics, Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission; Bangladesh Power Development Board; and Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation. He is a Life Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) and serves as an Assistant Editor on the Editorial Board of the Manarat International University Scroll.
