Dr. Md. Mohiuddin is a distinguished Professor at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, where he also serves as the Coordinator of the Office of Research Programs and Chairperson of the Management Development Program (MDP). With over 20 years of dedicated university teaching experience, he has played a pivotal role in advancing business education, executive training, and research initiatives at one of Bangladesh's premier business schools. His administrative contributions include moderating executive development courses such as Accounting for Non-Accountants (AFNA) and Finance for Non-Finance Managers, fostering professional skills among managers and leaders.
Dr. Mohiuddin's academic journey is marked by excellence, beginning with a BBA in Accounting from the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka, followed by an MBA in Finance from IBA, University of Dhaka. As a Commonwealth Scholar, he pursued advanced studies in the United Kingdom, earning a Post Graduate Diploma in Research and a Ph.D. from Cardiff Business School, University of Cardiff (2008-2012). His doctoral thesis, titled 'Investigating the Audit Committee Practices in Bangladesh,' provides critical insights into corporate governance mechanisms in emerging economies. His scholarly output includes 29 publications with over 100 citations, encompassing peer-reviewed journal articles and contributions to IBA publications. Key works include 'Impact of Capital Structure on Profitability and Corporate Value of Ceramic Industry: A Study on Some Selected Listed Companies' (co-authored with Kaniz Fatima), 'How Does Digitization Impact on the Formation of Bangladeshi Learners' Interpersonal Skills?'
