Mohsen Ramezani is an Associate Professor in Transport Engineering in the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Sydney, within the Faculty of Engineering. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering with a focus on control systems from the University of Tehran in Iran in 2008 and 2010, respectively. Prior to joining the University of Sydney as a Lecturer in Transport Engineering in 2016, he served as a Lecturer at the Institute of Transport Studies at Monash University. His research specializations include traffic flow theory, network modeling and control, shared mobility, and automated vehicles, with work aimed at addressing urban traffic congestion and its broader implications.
Ramezani has received the Dissertation Award from the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society. He is active in the academic community through roles such as guest speaker at other institutions and involvement in transport research groups. His contributions center on advancing understanding and solutions in transport engineering through modeling, control strategies, and emerging mobility technologies.
