Orville Brown is a lecturer in the College of Business and Management at the University of Technology, Jamaica. He serves as module coordinator for ECO1001 Introduction to Microeconomics in multiple semesters, including Semester 2 AY 2022/2024/2025 and Semester 1 AY 2023/2024. The module introduces students to basic economic concepts, principles, and theories such as supply and demand, elasticity, consumer and producer behavior, market structures, and production and cost analysis. Mr. Brown contributes to research activities within COBAM. He presented highlights of research findings for the GEM Jamaica 2021/2022 National Report at its launch event on March 2, 2023, at UTech Papine Campus, alongside lead researcher Mrs. Terry-Ann Gaynor-Clarke. The report, funded by DBJ and Joan Duncan Trust, analyzes entrepreneurship amid disruption in Jamaica. He is listed in UTech annual reports for 2017-18 and 2019-20 among staff members. In 2016, he participated as a lecturer from University of Technology in the School of Business and Management Leadership Roundtable Forum. His work supports the Business & Economics faculty at UTech.
