Pamela Scott Bracey, PhD, is Clinical Professor and Chair of the Department of Multidisciplinary Innovation in the University of North Texas College of Applied and Collaborative Studies. Her work in Business & Economics aligns with her discipline in Business Education & Learning Technologies. She holds a PhD in Applied Technology and Performance Improvement from the University of North Texas (2011), an MS in Higher Education Administration from Mississippi College (2007), and a BS in Business Technology Education from the University of Southern Mississippi (2006). Bracey began her career as a middle school technology teacher and student newscast advisor at Clinton Public School District (2006-2008). She served as project coordinator, curriculum specialist, adjunct professor, and undergraduate teacher certification advisor at UNT (2008-2013). From 2013 to 2021, she was a tenured Assistant/Associate Professor at Mississippi State University, directing the Bulldog Bytes GenCyber Teacher Camp (2018-2021) and founding the Global Academic Essentials Teacher Institute (2014-2021). She is founder and CEO of Urbane Enterprises LLC (2009-present), which has secured over $1 million in federal and state education grants.
Bracey's research encompasses business education, soft skills development, technology integration in teaching, inclusive classrooms, generative AI, collaborative intelligence, and human-AI partnerships. Key publications include her dissertation 'An Examination of Soft Skills Listed in Texas Electronic Job Postings and Undergraduate Business Information Systems Syllabi' (2011), textbook 'Administrative Management & Procedures' (2021), 'Knowledge Management and Generative AI' (2024), 'Wisdom and Leadership: The Role of Collaborative Intelligence in an AI World' (2026, with co-authors), 'Collaborative Intelligence: Cultivating Human-AI Partnerships' (2025, with co-authors), and articles on Black women faculty experiences and HR competencies. She has received multiple awards for excellence in teaching and community-engaged learning, including Collegiate Teacher of the Year from the Southern Business Education Association. As 2025-2026 President of the National Business Education Association, she established the first U.S. chapter of the National Business Honor Society–Collegiate at UNT. Bracey teaches courses such as Applied Finance Essentials, Management Concepts, Managing a 21st Century Career, and Pathways to Civic Engagement.
