Dr Penny Holdaway serves as a Senior Professional Practice Fellow and Co-ordinator for Ashburton in the Centre for Rural Health, part of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Otago. The Centre for Rural Health, located in Dunedin, supports rural health initiatives including the Rural Medical Immersion Programme, where Holdaway contributes her clinical expertise to medical student training in rural settings such as Ashburton.
