Rate My Professor R. Antony Prakash

Dr. R. Antony Prakash is Professor and Head of the Department of Management Studies at M.I.E.T. Engineering College, Trichy, Tamil Nadu, a position he has held since March 21, 2022. He oversees the MBA program at this autonomous, AICTE-approved institution, leading academic initiatives including curriculum delivery, faculty development, and governance. Possessing qualifications of MBA, M.Phil., MHRM, and Ph.D., Dr. Prakash chairs the Board of Studies, serves on the Academic Council, acts as a management representative, and contributes to institutional strategic planning. He coordinates courses such as Essentials of Organizational Behavior and Introduction to Entrepreneurship, and serves as a resource person for training programs and workshops.

Prior to joining M.I.E.T. Engineering College, Dr. Prakash was Associate Professor and Head of Management Studies at Mohamed Sathak Engineering College, Kilakarai, Tamil Nadu, and Vice Principal at OASYS Institute of Technology in 2021-2022. His scholarly contributions include co-authoring 'Role of Internal Marketing in Improving Business Performance' in the International Journal of Advanced Research in Education Technology and Youth Welfare with S. Sathya Priya and P. Hemavarshini; 'The Effect of Macroeconomic Variables on the Volatility of Metal Commodity Prices' in the International Journal of Management Studies and Explorative Research with Dr. R. Sugirtha, Dr. S. Santhana Jeyalakshmi, Dr. B. Meenakshi Sundaram, and P. Hemavarshini; 'The Impact of the economic crisis on the world’s poorest countries' in M-Infiniti Journal of Management (2012); and the book 'Fundamental Concepts of Human Resource Management' with Dr. Santosh Pagare, Dr. C. Soundar Rajan, and Dr. Renuka Deshmukh. Dr. Prakash also engages in editing department newsletters and magazines, supporting student placements, organizing events, and mentoring.
