Prior to joining Notre Dame Australia, Fr. Corby lectured at the John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family and at Catholic Theological College, both in Melbourne. His scholarship intersects moral theology, bioethics, and medicine, drawing on his medical training to address contemporary challenges. Key publications include the book The Hope and Despair of Human Bioenhancement: A Virtual Dialogue between the Oxford Transhumanists and Joseph Ratzinger (Pickwick, 2019), which critiques transhumanist ideologies through theological and philosophical lenses. Other works are 'The Imperative of Conscientious Objection in Medical Practice' (The National Catholic Bioethics Quarterly, 2018), 'Awakened by Love: Saint Francis of Assisi as Model for the Church's Mission to Health Care and Charitable Service' (Linacre Quarterly, 2018), and 'The Philosophical Limitations of Transhumanism and its Ethical Implications' (Linacre Quarterly, 2024). Fr. Corby's contributions enrich Catholic bioethics discourse, emphasizing ethical integrity in healthcare and human dignity amid technological advancements.
