Robin Lisdahl is a Lecturer in the Health and Human Performance (HHP) Department at the University of Wisconsin-Superior, where she also functions as Administrative Assistant III and Academic Department Associate. She has been affiliated with the university since 2011, bringing over 10 years of experience in higher education administration and instruction. Her office is situated in the Marcovich Wellness Center 1402, supporting the department's facilities that include modern classrooms, fitness areas, an indoor track, gym, and pool. Lisdahl serves as a key contact for faculty position inquiries in exercise science, sport and recreation management, and physical education, facilitating recruitment efforts within the HHP Department.
Lisdahl completed her Master of Science in Education (M.S.E.) in Instruction at the University of Wisconsin-Superior in May 2015. Her graduate thesis, "ROLE-MODELING PERCEPTIONS AND HEALTH BEHAVIOR PATTERNS OF COLLEGE STUDENTS IN HEALTH-RELATED MAJORS," was submitted to the Graduate Faculty. The study targeted HHP majors at UW-Superior, evaluating whether these students perceive themselves as future role models for the health, fitness, and disease prevention behaviors emphasized in their curriculum and if they actively practice those behaviors. Employing a survey instrument with sections on socio-demographics, health behaviors, and role-modeling perceptions, the research assessed changes in these attitudes over time. Key findings indicated that HHP majors acknowledge the significance of role modeling, with heightened awareness among juniors and seniors, and they engage in relevant positive health practices. The thesis underscores the need for enhanced college curricula, particularly in weight management, nutrition, and physical activity, to foster lifelong healthy habits among prospective health professionals. Lisdahl further earned recognition on the WIAC Academic Honor Roll, reflecting her strong academic performance.
