Rosie Collier is a Change Manager in the Change Management and Organisational Design section of the Human Resources division at the University of Otago in Dunedin. Her contact details include telephone +64 3 556 5851 and email rosie.collier@otago.ac.nz. Prior to this role, she served as Client Services Lead Administrator for Sciences, starting in early 2022 after switching jobs within the university. In her administrative positions, she has experience in organising and supporting academics and professional staff in delivering science projects and content. Collier relocated to Dunedin in 2014, bringing her skills in administration to the university environment.
Outside her professional duties, Rosie Collier pursues acting, a passion that originated in her childhood in the United Kingdom. She began performing on stage at age 10 in pantomime and progressed to more substantial roles, earning an award at age 13 for her first leading role in Neil Simon’s The Gingerbread Lady. Since settling in Dunedin, she has participated in various local theatre productions, including at the Playhouse Theatre as Miss Casewell in Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap in May 2022—a character depicted as a serious young woman recently returned to England with a mysterious past. Other venues include the Globe, Allen Hall Theatre, and Shakespeare in the Park at the Dunedin Botanic Garden, performed in the round outdoors. Collier appreciates the intensive rehearsal process, the buzz of live performance, and the familial camaraderie among casts. She notes her natural ability to memorise lines, a skill from childhood, and finds acting offers a special freedom, though parting with roles and fellow performers is challenging.
