Sam Whittle is Principal Lecturer Practice Development and Workforce Development Lead at the University of Cumbria within the Institute of Health. Whittle holds qualifications including an MSc in Practice Development awarded in 2022, Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy obtained in 2013, Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education also from 2013, Registered Nurse Teacher qualification from 2012, Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) from 2001, BSc (Hons) and BSc (Hons) Professional Studies (Midwifery) from 1999, Registered Midwife from 1990 and Registered General Nurse from 1988. Research interests include infant feeding, parenting, public health, child health and perinatal mental health. Whittle is based at the Lancaster campus.
