Dr. Sander Zwanenburg serves as Senior Lecturer in the discipline of Business Information Systems in the School of Management and Marketing, Faculty of Business and Law at Curtin University. He earned his BSc and MSc degrees in Economics and Business from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands, and his PhD in Management Information Systems from The University of Hong Kong. In addition to his role at Curtin, Dr. Zwanenburg holds an Honorary Appointment at the University of Otago, New Zealand, and serves as Secretary of the Australasian Association for Information Systems (AAIS). As an educator, he has taught various Information Systems courses, utilizing the teaching case method to enhance student learning.
Dr. Zwanenburg's research specializes in the psychology of personal IT use, with a particular emphasis on interruptions, attention, and conflicted behaviour. He is also recognized as a methodologist who develops measures, metrics, and tools to help researchers overcome methodological obstacles.
