Mr. Sean O'Hara serves as an Instructor at the Curtin Singapore Campus, part of Curtin University's Global Curtin portfolio. He joined Curtin Singapore in 2012 as a lecturer, where he has taught undergraduate and postgraduate programs in areas such as business management and international business management. Prior to his current position, O'Hara was an adjunct lecturer at several institutions, focusing on undergraduate degree programs in business-related fields.
In June 2019, Sean O'Hara commenced a part-time PhD candidature in the School of Management and Marketing at Curtin University, with an anticipated completion in June 2027. His doctoral research, supervised by Professor Linley Lord and Professor Michael Schaper, centers on the thesis titled 'Business education and the family business: Perceptions and experiences of business-educated leaders of small and medium-sized family businesses.' This work investigates the perspectives of business-educated leaders in Singapore's family-owned small and medium-sized enterprises regarding the impact of business education. O'Hara's teaching responsibilities include delivering units like MGMT1002 Communication, Culture and Indigenous Perspectives in Business and International Business Ethics at the Curtin Singapore Campus, contributing to students' development in cross-cultural communication and ethical business practices.
