Dr Mingyue Selena Sheng is a Senior Research Fellow in the Energy Centre at the University of Auckland Business School. She holds a PhD in Economics and specialises in applied economics and econometrics. Her research focuses on climate change issues, carbon emissions reduction, economic evaluations of emerging technologies in transportation systems, and policy appraisals for the uptake of alternative fuel vehicles. Dr Sheng uses economic modelling and empirical insights to inform policies on these topics.
Dr Sheng joined the University of Auckland as a Research Fellow in December 2016 and was promoted to Senior Research Fellow in February 2023. Her work has been published in leading academic journals, and she has received multiple competitive grants and research awards, including the University of Auckland Business School Research Excellence Award.
