Professor Dr. Soe Naing is the Professor and Head of the Department of Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Dental Medicine, Yangon. He earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.), Master of Dental Science (M.D.Sc.), and Doctor of Dental Science (Dr.D.Sc.) from Yangon. In this leadership role, he oversees academic instruction, clinical training, and research activities within paediatric dentistry, contributing to the development of dental professionals in Myanmar.
His scholarly contributions include co-authorship on several peer-reviewed articles published in the Journal of Dental Science - UDMY. Key publications feature "Management of an Impacted Permanent Maxillary Left Central Incisor with Angular Root Dilaceration: Case Report" with Yamin Ei Swe, detailing clinical approaches to root dilaceration in children. Another is "Comparison of Pit and Fissure Sealant Retention Between..." alongside Kay Kine Win and Ei Ei Myo, assessing sealant efficacy for caries prevention. He also co-authored "Effectiveness of Allium sativum Oil in Non-vital Pulpotomy of..." with Thiri Hlaing and Tin Zar Tun, investigating garlic oil as a pulpotomy agent in primary teeth.
