Prof. Sunil Kr. Mathur serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology in Delhi. He joined the institution on October 1, 2005, in a regular capacity and holds a Ph.D. qualification. As HOD ECE, he leads the department's academic and research activities, overseeing laboratories such as the Project Lab, Switching Theory and Logic Design Lab, Digital Signal Processing Lab, and VLSI Lab/Digital Circuit Design (VHDL) Lab. Prof. Mathur contributes significantly to institutional governance, serving as a member of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Research Policy committee, and MoOCs courses committee. He has represented MAIT at key events, including AICTE headquarters meetings and the Action for Restoring Environment (ARE) round table. Under his leadership, the ECE department has organized seminars like Recent Developments in Electronic Materials and Devices and Mini Colloquia on Insights of Emerging Nanoscale Research Devices, where he delivered the vote of thanks. He facilitated industrial visits, such as to SCL Chandigarh and UTL Solar, Greater Noida, and supported student activities including mock interviews and role plays.
Prof. Mathur's scholarly contributions include authoring the book Microprocessor 8086: Architecture, Programming and Interfacing, published by PHI in 2010, and co-authoring Microprocessor 8085 and Its Interfacing. His research output features the publication Distributed Approach to Process Satellite Image Edge Detection on Hadoop Using Artificial Bee Colony Optimization in the International Journal of Service Science, Management, Engineering, and Technology in 2020. With a Google Scholar profile affiliated to MAIT, he has 53 citations in Electronics and Communication. Additionally, he holds Vidwan ID 547558 and serves on the advisory board of the MAIT Journal. His administrative roles extend to MoUs for higher studies opportunities in Germany and contributions to faculty development programs.
