Susana A. Eisenchlas is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Humanities, Languages and Social Science at Griffith University. Her academic background includes a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Queensland, completed in 2001, a Master's degree from the University of Queensland, and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. At Griffith University, she specializes in linguistics and applied linguistics, convening the linguistics program and delivering courses such as Second Language Acquisition (3002LHS).
Eisenchlas's research specializations include second language acquisition, applied linguistics, foreign language learning, language acquisition, intercultural communication, home language maintenance, bilingualism, multiculturalism, and language teaching. She co-chairs the International Research Network on Social and Affective Factors in Home Language Maintenance and Development.
