Rate My Professor Tim Welch

Timothy F. Welch is Senior Lecturer and Urban Planning Programme Director in the School of Architecture and Planning at the University of Auckland, within the Faculty of Engineering and Design. He holds a PhD from the University of Maryland, College Park, a JD from the University of Detroit, an LL.B. from the University of Windsor, an MSP from Florida State University, and a BA in Finance and Business Administration. Welch specialises in transportation, infrastructure and urban modelling, with a focus on the use of big data and technology. Much of his research examines these areas through quantitative and modelling approaches.

Welch serves as Co-Director of the Future Cities Research Hub at the University of Auckland. His academic appointments include his current role as Senior Lecturer and Programme Director.
