She also delivered gender and sexual diversity workshops for the Nursing Council. Dr Morison holds a Masters in Public Health (MPH) and a Postgraduate Diploma, and has pursued doctoral studies. Her scholarly work includes the publication 'Midlife safer sex challenges for heterosexual New Zealand women re-partnering or in casual relationships,' co-authored with Catherine M. Cook and published in the Journal of Primary Health Care in 2015. Additionally, she contributed to research on drinking history, current drinking, and problematic sexual experiences among university students. Recently, Dr Morison spoke at the 2025 UOW Pride Symposium at University of Otago Wellington, addressing curriculum development to teach health professional students about transgender and non-binary healthcare access and needs. Her expertise spans public health, nursing education, and inclusive healthcare practices.
