She is a dedicated member of the Tennessee Association of Student Success and Retention, serving as membership chair for 11 years and treasurer for six years. Her impact on developmental education is recognized through prestigious awards, including the Educator of the Year from the Tennessee Association for Developmental Education and the NADE Award for Outstanding Service to Developmental Education Students. Alley has delivered numerous presentations at state and national conferences and published several articles in professional journals, such as 'Midterm Grade Reports: Are They Effective?' in 2002.
