Dr. Winnie Wu, known professionally as Min-Lin (Winnie) Wu, is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Griffith University, based at the Nathan Campus in room N48 1.08. She holds qualifications as a registered nurse (RN) and earned her PhD from the School of Nursing at Queensland University of Technology, completing her doctoral studies from February 2008 to March 2012. Prior to her current role, Wu was affiliated with Queensland University of Technology, contributing to research activities documented as early as 2010. She is a member of the Menzies Health Institute Queensland and participates in the Neuroscience, Ageing and Dementia research theme within Griffith Health.
Wu's research interests focus on ageing and chronic disease, including healthcare professionals' knowledge and attitudes towards dementia care, family carers' expectations for dementia services, nurse-led interventions to prevent urinary tract infections in older adults in residential aged care, energy conservation education for chronic kidney disease patients on haemodialysis, and enhancing reflection in medical and surgical nursing practice. Notable publications include: 'Hospital healthcare professionals' knowledge of dementia and attitudes towards dementia care: A cross-sectional study' (Journal of Clinical Nursing, 2022, with W. Zhao, W. Moyle, C. Jones, H.L.
