Professor Xiaoke Yi is a Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Sydney, where she serves as Director of the Photonics Research Group. Her research focuses on photonics, including integrated photonics, microwave photonics, and nanophotonics. She is a Fellow of Optica and a Fellow of the Royal Society of New South Wales. Yi has been at the University of Sydney since at least 2011, when she became a QEII fellow and senior lecturer. She has contributed to research published in journals such as Nature Communications, including a 2026 paper on inverse-designed nanophotonic neural networks for artificial intelligence applications.
