Professor Xun Xu is a Professor of Manufacturing in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Auckland. He joined the department in 1996 after obtaining his Ph.D. He has progressed through the ranks as Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, and now Professor. His main research focuses on computer-aided design, process planning and manufacturing, in particular STEP-compliant CNC (STEP-NC), cloud manufacturing and smart manufacturing.
