Zaid Timol is a lecturer in the Department of Humanities at Curtin University of Technology, now known as Curtin University. He is associated with the Faculty of Humanities, School of Design and the Built Environment at the Curtin Mauritius campus. As teaching staff for the unit GRDE1016 Digital Design 1 in Semester 1, 2022, Timol supports students in developing skills in digital design production processes, encompassing observation, analysis, conceptualisation, production, and iteration within the field of Digital Experience and Interaction Design. This unit emphasizes aesthetics, user experience, and the creation of digital products such as websites and applications. Timol has also contributed to educational activities by co-designing a cultural immersion trail for the unit 'Culture to Cultures' alongside Chaya Seewoonarain and Mylene Biquette, enhancing first-year students' engagement with cultural elements. Furthermore, he served as a liaison and student mentor for the annual Creative Jam competition organized by Curtin Australia, facilitating student participation and success in creative challenges.
