Professor Zhewang Lin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He joined NUS in September 2021 as an NUS Presidential Young Professor and established his own research laboratory. His academic background includes a PhD from Cornell University in chemical biology and a postdoctoral position at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge. Professor Lin’s research focuses on the molecular mechanisms that regulate the quantity and quality of protein synthesis in living cells, including cellular quality control processes involving ribosomes and nascent chain interactors.
