Dr Zoe Ward is a bioinformatician in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at the University of Auckland. She holds MSc and PhD degrees.
Her research contributions include the analysis of whole genome sequencing data, through which she identified a repeat expansion in the DMPK gene linked to unexplained sudden cardiac death in young people. She has also authored publications on circular RNAs, long noncoding RNAs associated with cardiac ischemia, and circulating RNA markers for coronary artery disease identified via deep RNA sequencing of human plasma.
