Applicants should have:
(i) a good Bachelor's degree preferably in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, and Real Estate / Finance. Other majors will be considered as well;
(ii) excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, as well as spoken Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin);
(iii) good people skill and proactive work attitude;
(iv) the ability to assist in tutorials, laboratory/practical classes, compilation of course materials, and other academic activities under guidance; and
(v) proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and on-line teaching tactics.
Skills in programming and using statistical software such as SPSS, R or Python and survey software such as Qualtrics will be a bonus. Relevant work experience, including internship, will also be an advantage.
The appointee will support course teacher in daily pre-course planning, coordinate teaching and student related activities, perform teaching-related administrative tasks using various platforms (Blackboard, Veriguide, CATME, Mural, Socrative, Kahoot etc). He/she will also work with other administrative staff in the department to support various school events / student activities.
