The appointee will (a) apply for external competitive research grants; (b) participate and/or develop in independent and/or collaborative research projects; (c) coordinate research projects and publish peer-reviewed papers; and (d) lead the investigations from the quality control to the pharmacological and mechanistic evaluations of the herbs and herbal products, but also be able to coordinate the trials with the TCM and western physician teams on TCM products.
Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in Chinese Medicine, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline; (ii) substantial postdoctoral experience in a relevant scientific discipline; (iii) a strong commitment to excellence in research; (iv) ample experiences in above research area(s) as evidenced by publications in international journals; (v) a strong sense of responsibility and team spirit, and (vi) excellent oral and written communication skills.
