1–2 POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHERS IN THE ARTS
The Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies invites applications for 1–2 Postdoctoral Researchers in the Arts for fixed-term employment from 15 August 2026 to 14 August 2027. The position is primarily intended for persons with a doctoral degree in the arts, though persons engaged in artistic work with a doctoral degree in another field are also eligible. Applicants must have completed their doctoral degree before the application deadline and have experience in artistic work or research. Successful candidates should produce high-quality artistic work and conduct research at an internationally significant level. The working language is English, and positions are funded by the Kone Foundation.
The Collegium offers a creative research community for pursuing personal projects at the interface between the arts and academic research. The fellowship includes a salary based on level 5 of the Finnish university salary system, with an annual gross salary of 43,000–49,000€, plus a component based on personal performance. Fellows receive an office at the University of Helsinki City Centre Campus and a personal allowance of 4,000€ for research expenses.
