East Stroudsburg University's Department of Physics is looking for candidates to be considered for future temporary vacancies. Located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, ESU's proximity to New York City and Philadelphia provides convenient access to professional markets, careers, and social activities. Just minutes from campus are the country's largest water parks, scenic Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area, Appalachian Trail, and other opportunities for recreational fun.

Adjunct faculty will primarily teach general education courses (PHYS101 Physical Science; PHYS110 Sound, Waves and Light; PHYS117 Energy), algebra-based introductory physics lectures and labs (PHYS131 and PHYS132; Fundamental Physics I and II), and calculus-based introductory physics, combined lecture/lab (PHYS161 and PHYS162; Physics I and II).

Qualifications

• The minimum requirement is a Master's degree in physics.
• Candidate should demonstrate teaching excellence in the courses to be taught.
• Preference will be given to those with experience working with student populations reflective of the diversity and background of ESU students.
