26-27 AY Teaching Associate (TA) - Civil & Geomatics Engineering

Position Overview

The Department of Civil and Geomatics seeks graduate students as Teaching Associate applicants. Teaching Associates typically are responsible for providing classroom instruction.

Anticipated Appointment Dates

• Fall 2026: August 19, 2026 – December 22, 2026
• Spring 2027: January 15, 2027 – May 26, 2027

Job Duties

Instruct and manage the classroom, create or implement course design, prepare course materials, assess student performance, maintain office hours, evaluate student work.

Qualifications

1. Admission to the Civil Program in the Department of Civil and Geomatics, in good academic standing.
2. Enrollment in at least 6-units for the semester.
3. Demonstrated satisfactory progress towards the degree.
4. Ability to relate well with others and instruct students.
5. Commitment to working effectively with diverse backgrounds.
