Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; some evenings & weekends as necessary.
Job Summary
The Academic Advisor I provides guidance to University students on academic progress, courses, University resources, etc. Identifies courses to be completed in upcoming semesters. Explains University and College policies. May teach compass course as needed.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher.
Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Public speaking skills.
- Computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheet, and database management.
- Planning, coordinating, and organizing skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in academic advising and Banner.
