Academic Clinical Lecturer in Cardiology OR Rheumatology

Academic Clinical Lectureship (ACL)

NIHR Integrated Academic Training Path
4 years fixed term
Salary: Grade A63 or A67: £38,831 - £80,081 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience, in line with current pay protection and transitional arrangements in the NHS

Applications are invited from the below listed specialty for one post under the NIHR Integrated Academic Training Pathway. This is a fixed-term, four-year post which offers excellent opportunities to undertake high quality research within a clinically excellent environment and to undertake clinical work towards gaining a CCT. In addition to the NIHR funded post available, locally funded posts may also be awarded in parallel, subject to funding and assessment against the stated criteria for the role. Applicants should be medically qualified, ST3 and above, have full GMC registration and already hold, or have submitted for Higher Degree (PhD/DPhil/MD). Applicants must also hold a current National Training Number (NTN).

The NIHR ACL post will be from the following specialty:

  • Cardiology, based in the Radcliffe Department of Medicine, John Radcliffe Hospital, Headley Way, Headington, Oxford, OX3 9DU
  • Rheumatology, based in the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences, Headington, Oxford.
