About the role:

At the University of Canberra, we are committed to supporting our international students to thrive academically and professionally. You will play a vital role in integrating targeted language and learning initiatives into the Faculty’s educational and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) strategies, bridging communication gaps and creating a more connected and supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Faculty educators to enhance academic support across the international student journey.
  • Develop and deliver a Faculty-focused evaluation strategy (including but not limited to SOTL/Research) to demonstrate impact of interventions on international students’ success in both course work and work-integrated learning.

About you:

  • Self-driven, highly motivated, and passionate about enhancing international student success.
  • Strong awareness of the academic and cultural challenges faced by international students in higher education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge gaps and engage effectively across diverse groups.

  • A PhD in a related Health Science discipline is desirable; Candidates who have commenced a PhD are also encouraged to apply.

Offerings/ Benefits/ Culture:

The University offers excellent conditions and benefits such as:

  • Flexible working arrangements and Family-friendly policies
  • On campus Gym, Medical services, Cafes, Post office, Supermarket and Childcare facilities.
  • Professional Development offerings (study assistance, corporate programs and discounts)
  • Innovative work environment with a diverse and inclusive culture
  • Access to Employee Assistance Program and a corporate private Health Plan (Bupa)

University of Canberra is a values based organisation and sets a goal to be the national sector leader in equity, diversity, inclusion and access via Connected – A Decadal Strategy 2023-2032. UC encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
