We are looking for a future-focused academic to lead the redevelopment of courses in economics, econometrics, and business statistics, while shaping new programs in Business Analytics and Decision Science. With expertise in quantitative analysis, including econometric modelling, statistical inference, data science, and AI, you will support interdisciplinary, learner-centred, and digitally enhanced education. You will integrate tools like Python, R, and cloud-based platforms into teaching and research, contribute to a strong research culture, supervise HDR students, and foster an inclusive environment.
You will: design and deliver engaging courses, support student success, contribute to teaching excellence; publish in top journals, secure funding, and supervise HDR students; support School and University development, including maintaining AACSB accreditation; and build industry and community partnerships.
About you: An energised academic with curiosity in research, creativity in teaching, and commitment to student success. You possess proficiency in quantitative methods and tools, expertise in econometrics and data science, experience in curriculum design, a track record of innovative teaching, strong research output, understanding of AI in business, and experience supervising HDR students. You have a collaborative leadership style.
We also value qualifications in tertiary teaching, additional study in relevant fields, certifications in programming tools, experience with large-scale data analysis, and designing online learning experiences.
