Position Summary

The Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (JSMBS) at the University at Buffalo, Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible cardiologist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. This faculty member will provide high quality outpatient cardiac care, support advanced cardiac imaging services, and participate actively in the education of cardiology fellows. Rank will be commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic and growing academic cardiology division committed to clinical excellence, innovative research, and outstanding training of the next generation of cardiovascular specialists.

Clinical Responsibilities

The selected physician will:

• Provide general cardiology care in outpatient clinical settings
• Deliver expert supervision and interpretation for Cardiac PET (Positron Emission Tomography) imaging.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.

The faculty member will play an integral role in the training of cardiology fellows by:

• Providing hands on supervision during Cardiac PET procedures.
• Delivering didactic and clinical education in advanced cardiac imaging.
• Serving as a mentor and professional role model within the cardiology fellowship program.

Minimum Qualifications

• M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited cardiology fellowship.
• Board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Experience and/or specialized training in Cardiac PET imaging strongly preferred.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of New York.
