Description

The Department of Pathology at the Yale School of Medicine is seeking an academic Surgical Pathologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. Fellowship training or subspecialty expertise in GI or Pediatric Pathology is preferred. Participation in other subspecialty sign outs may be possible based on the candidate’s interest. The successful candidate will participate in the service responsibilities of diagnostic practice; contribute to medical student, resident, and fellow teaching; and develop an academic program reflective of their interests.

The Department serves Yale New Haven Hospital and Bridgeport Hospital, major teaching and referral centers in southern Connecticut, and a robust outreach program providing consultative services to regional practitioners and beyond.

Southern Connecticut offers beautiful shoreline, affordable housing, excellent schools, numerous recreational opportunities, and easy access to New York, Boston, Newport, Cape Cod, and the ski slopes of New England.

Qualifications

Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Board certification in Anatomic Pathology (and/or AP/CP) from the American Board of Pathology and eligibility for medical licensure in Connecticut are required. Individuals with expertise and /or interest in clinical, translational or basic research are encouraged to apply. Academic rank and salary will depend on level of expertise and experience.
