Accounts Assistant Helpdesk
The Role
The Helpdesk team provides specialist first-line support for various aspects of the Cambridge University Financial System (CUFS), including areas such as: User Administration, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, iProcurement and Expenses, advising departments on best practice as well as being a point of contact for suppliers and customers of the University, ensuring calls and enquiries are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
In addition to providing first-line support in the areas above you will also assist the wider Accounting Services team in areas such as assisting with allocation of payments received by the University, verification of International Payments and helping teams where short-term support is needed.
Your Skills
The successful candidate will be expected to have:
- Experience with the processing of accounting transactions
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Have excellent communication skills and telephone manner, and be able to relay information to a wide range of people of all levels
- Intermediate knowledge of excel and working knowledge of Oracle Financials
- Experience of dealing with complex reconciliations
- Strengths of time management and attention to detail

Location
The Finance Division has embraced hybrid working and individuals are currently working with their team two days a week from a University site, principally Greenwich House, and three days worked remotely (for those working a standard Monday to Friday week). This arrangement is subject to change and will not form a part of the contractual terms of the role.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 December 2027 in the first instance.
