Accreditation Specialist
The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) is seeking a full-time Accreditation Specialist.
The position will be responsible for processing and managing applications for program-related changes, including distance education, in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Other responsibilities include supporting the ABHES review process, staying abreast of accreditation issues in higher education and their potential impact, and processing complaints. This position is ideal for applicants with an interest in higher education, program evaluation, and academic quality and requires strong analytical skills, professionalism, creativity, and the ability to work with multiple staff and outside stakeholders.
Salary commensurate with experience in the $75,000-$85,000 range. ABHES offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 100% company-paid medical/dental/vision benefits for employees, a 6% company match retirement contribution, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and more.
The Accreditation Specialist position is located in North Bethesda, Maryland, and is eligible initially for at least 2 remote workdays. Therefore, applicants must be located within commuting distance and report to the office three days per week. This arrangement is designed to facilitate collaboration, engagement with leadership, and teamwork with other ABHES staff members.
